Default I promised a smokey burnout - here ya go!

Sorry it took me so long. My brother in law was over for Mother's Day dinner and I used the opportunity to have him run the camera. Dave Robert's SC kit is pure, unadulterated genius! This car is soooo much fun. BTW, those are 285-30-18's that go up in smoke, not the stock 225's. You can hear it shift to second as soon as the brake lights go off. Poor John got pelted with rubber and asphalt.

See some of you soon at SITM!

Here you go. BTW, since your a cop you probably already know how many laws were broken Lets see if we can name them all.

1. Illegal Lane Change
2. Breaking Traction
3. Defacing Public Property
4. Noise Pollution
4. Air Pollution

Any more?

Nah. I'm just giving him a hard time because he's a cop doing mega burnouts.

By DJC: Funny how cops live by a different set of rules than the rest of us.
Yeah. Like there's no rule that says we have to go out and risk our necks everyday to keep everyone else safe.

Charley B,
Sorry, but you struck a nerve. NO ONE has the 'right' to break the law. because you risk your life to serve others gives you no more rights than the rest of us. Take a look at the attached pictures. I belive these guys signed up for far more risk than you can comprehend yet they are not above the law. In fact, young GIs are often singled out around our bases because "they're trouble makers." The picture of the Stryker is their office. This particular one had just sustained a 20 minute shoot out with Anti Iraqi Forces. The turret gunner was shot in the neck and returned to duty the next day. WHy don't you tell him how much 'risk' you take.

The attitude you display is why cops have a bad name. I have more than once reported Montana Highway Patrol and County Sherifs 'cruising' at over 110 MPH without lights and no where to go. When I talked to their supervisors, they weren't very pleased; both with me for reporting them, and their officers for 'getting caught.' On the other hand, one of my best friends has been in law enforcement his whole career and leads by example and integrity.

Sorry for the hijack. I'm sure the video is cool but I can't see it here in Iraq. I'm not trying to be the fun spoiler here. I just can't stand cops who make excuses for their actions. They're no better than the rest of us.

Can we just enjoy the burnout please? Most cops won't bust you for a burn-out as long as your not doing it right in town. Obviously POPO was well out of town and there appeared to be no one else around. This is so far the best BO I've seen!

This is a classic.

If you post a vid of you breaking the law while you are in law enforcement, you should expect to get "thrown under the bus"! If I were you I'd pull the vid and this thread in fear of someone relaying it up your chain of command. Proud of your care, fine, but your demonstration of ethics is less than honorable.

Nice post 968.
