[QUOTE=Sharks]Mark your calendars! August 4th will be the date for this year's Fresh Water Frenzy – Sharks in Hell!

That’s all for now, as we get closer we will post an event schedule.

So what is the plan? Is there any sort of schedule (formal or informal)? Should I bring my wife? Beside 928 and beer is the main function a lunch or dinner?

Here's the rough plan from last year.

******************************
Friday
6pm - ? Meet and greet at the Dam Site Inn (downtown Hell).

You can park at the cottage (4339 Patterson Lake Road, Pinckney Mi 48169) and walk into town or park at the Inn.

Saturday
10 am - Show up at the cottage. Show up earlier if you wanted and help get things ready. Meet and greet until lunch.

11:30 am – BBQ lunch with side dishes. Detroit Area folks provide all the food (BYOB).

1:00 pm – Door prize drawing from our awesome sponsors.

2:30pm-4pm – Hell of a Drive.

The drive will put you near Chelsea, which is just off of I-94 for those heading home.

4pm-6pm - Back at the cottage for dinking and other fun activities.

6-8pm – Helluva Cruise runs through downtown Hell (300-400 classic cars).

8pm - ? More (ya know)

Note:

Helluva Cruise Car Show at Pinckney High School (10255 Dexter-Pinckney Rd ~ 4 miles from the cottage) from 9am-6pm, $5/car load admission.

Kids activities include: Badminton, croquet, horseshoes, kayaks, and swimming in the lake, and tubing during the Hell of a Drive.

Sunday
Get the Hell out of here!

Since I don't live up there and will be coming from the Milford area, would you suggest 23 to nine mile and across or 96 to Pinckney and down or something else?

For Kurt, and anyone coming from the east side on I-96, US-23 south bound is under construction (only one lane open). North bound was completed a couple months ago.

Depending on what time of day you plan on arriving US-23 southbound may be a parking lot.

To avoid the traffic:

Get off of US-23 at Lee Road (first exit south of I-96).
Negotiate the two roundabouts to head south on Whitmore Lake Road (aim for Costco).
Take Whitmore Lake Road south about 3 miles (pass Silver Lake Road interchange).
Just past the Silver Lake Road interchange make a Right on Winans Lake Road.
Take Winans Lake to the end (T-intersection) and make a Left on Hamburg Road.
Take Hamburg road south and make a Right at the T-intersection on M-36.
M-36 will take you all the way into Pinckney (~ 7 miles).
When you get into Pinckney make a Left on Dexter-Pinckney Road (Rite Aid on the corner).
Take Dexter-Pinckney Road south about 1 mile and make a Right on Darwin (white wood fence).
Darwin turns into Patterson Lake Road about ½ mile down and runs through Hell.
The cottage is about ¼ mile west of Hell on the south side (4339 Patterson Lake Road).

If you get lost give me a call on my cell (734) 945-1B1H

... Thanks for the sticky Randy ....

The other Way in from the east side would be to take I-96 to Howell then go south on D19 to Pinkney. Once you hit Pinckney you can turn left on M-36 and right on Dexter-Pinckney, or turn right then left to stay on D19 - but I seem to remember that the stretch just before Patterson Lake Rd isn't paved.

Edit:
Interesting - Mapquest does 96 to 23 to 36, Google Maps does 96 to D19.

It's only about 6-7 miles longer.

Or about 3 minutes in a 928, right?

It is with deep regret that I will not be able to go to Hell. Andrew, Mark and the rest of the Detroit owners I am going to definitely miss seeing you guys again. To all those planning on attending this event, you are going to have an amazing time with an amazing group of individuals. Have a great time all, and maybe I'll see you next year..............Bill ..................
