Friction between the A arm and it's bushings perhaps?

A change in the direction of this project: Mark Anderson at 928 Intl found a fella that CAN rebuild the forged late-model a-rms, so we went with that instead.

I have shelved the tube-steel upper a-arm for the moment. Just felt that the common customer would rather have Porsche OEM on their car than aftermarket if they could, so now that the rebuilt OEM item is available, I did not think many of the tube steel ones would sell.

The workmanshhip on the remanufactured forged a arms is really very impressive.

So we moved on to the next thing - wait 'till you see it... give me about 1 month to introduce it.

Well, I for one am disappointed that the metal arms will not be sold. For those that do not have cores to give for these other arms, or that LIKE the more rigid all metal arm, its a shame.

I don't know how many of the original metal version you would have had to sell to break out a profit, but it was a great idea.

I'm disappointed this option has been taken off the table. Are there any "common" 928 customers?

And I think the operative word here is "Exchange" - the other steel arms were a NEW option, with some interesting dynamics.

Jim do they have the original style bushings installed? The OEM style bushings had a metal sleeve inserted into a rubber bushing. I have tried to find those original type of bushings everywhere including in Germany. I was told that they are only available as an part of an original upper control arm; buy the whole arm or nothing. I am curious to know how you scored the bushings to install into rebuildable arms?

Are you hinting that these are "Made in China"?

I too am disappointed as my car is in Canada and the A-Arm exchange is not an option for me. I was also excited about the possibilities with these new A-Arms. If you build them Carl , I'm quite sure you will sell many of them.
