Thanks! Michael is going to check an address for me in Arcadia. I have a guy who says that he will sell me a $12,000 tractor for $2900, but wants to handle the deal thru Yahoo Finance...
He has lost his hearing, so he can't talk on the phone...

Smells like a scam, but if it should be true it is a super deal, so I wanted to do some checking before I drove thirty hours round-trip @ 10 mpg!

Almost similar case with a "local" Viper 1999 for $16000. I called the local phone and it was disconnected. I emailed the girl and she was in NY and it sounded the Viper was still in AL. After a couple of emails (btw, she lowered the price to $14,500, lol, which at $16k was already smoking deal) she said the Viper was in NY and she would be willing to use ebay to avoid scam. I told her I was a pilot (I am not) and I can fly in free if charge to NY the next day, pay cash for the Viper and drive it back to AL. Never got a response. Never got a phone number to her in NY either.

Hey - another John Deere Owner.... what is it about Porsche's and tractors.

On the other hand - I responded to an Ebay deal regarding some Gold Egyptian artifacts - part of a collection.. yada, yada, yada... called the lady - didn't have a clue - so I passed on the deal... sold for <$1K.... 6 months later I see them at auction at Sotheby's sold for 50 times that...

You just never know...

What I really want is a small 3-cylinder Diesel, 4wd tractor with a front loader and a bush hog...

The 310B might be a little big - and probably a little expensive!

We have a Universal, 4 cyl diesel, 4wd with a front loader with a full 3 point hitch. Made in Romania, it does the job and was a good price. We farm 40 acres with it.

We also have a Sears lawn tractor for the yard/garden and it has a beer.......sorry cup holder.
