Given the circumstances reported it is either fuel or ignition because compression doesn't generally come and go.
One guess ould be a fuel pump relay that opens when it gets hot, shuts off fuel flow so the engine dies.

Mine did that ....... it was a bad FP relay that failed when hot......
Buy the car cheap and swap in the horn relay and drive it home.....
