Wheeler Dealer 928 Restore
This might be a repost (couldn't find it) but I think it's a pretty need set of videos from yet another cool British Automotive show called Wheeler Dealer that I'd love to see over here.

They have other videos of restores on YouTupe too. More realistic restorations IMHO and I wouldn't mind seeing something like this over here on Speed or Spike TV.

All I know is I wish we had something like Wheeler Dealer over here.
Most of the "resto" shows we've got are high-end drivel. While some is some pretty cool & neat stuff, the budgets on most of our shows are astronomical for most folks. Compared to what was spent on the old Shark featured in this show, American shows seem more geared towards the pallets of the “price is not an option” enthusiasts with a lot of disposable income.

Did anybody see the special on Speed the other night about cars that changed the automotive industry? My brother was telling me about it and said they showed some 928s--obviously.

Never saw that! Awesome! Thanks for posting! I loved it! There were obviously some "iffy" things they did, but really enjoyed it never the less.
Makes me want to run out and buy a "cheeser"!

I've noticed the British motorcycle and auto magazines seem to have much more in the way of homegrown fix up articles then the US mags. And also, the advertisements have tons of things for the home mechanic like small lathes, lifts, etc. Much more so then the US mags.
Makes me wonder where that comes from. Possibly from a mentality of fixing things up, rather then throwing them away. Perhaps from after WWII, since there were not as many cars and motorcycles for some time, and the economy was not as strong over there, so perhaps people had to make do with what they had, and its carried over to this day?
Perhaps our cousins from over the pond can comment on that idea?
