That's a Chevy only non-rebuildable, non SFI approved consumer product, it's of no interest to us.

So are we still at 2? Where's Erkka?
Mike, I'm not trolling around.
I'm interested, but in a bolt in replacement that will work with the stock hardware. (Pulleys and accessories)

Not to get off topic, but the 5800rpm max rpm on the aforementioned product is odd. Is there any gas powered motor that doesn't have a redline of at least 5800? (You don't need to answer that).

Their Super Street versions says 5800 max rpm so I'm assuming you are having a race version built?
They will be designed as direct replacements. They just called me today & asked me to send them the pulleys so they will integrate seamlessly.
As I said, these will be the 'Super Damper' line, not the street stuff. The same as the race cars use, not 'cute' little things. These are well designed & thought out units.
I just thought since so many of us are building modified motors that I'd share the opportunity. Mike & I aren't making any money on these. Personally I couldn't care less if anyone else joins in or not. I'm doing what's best for my motor regardless of who else is involved. The fifty dollar price difference if people join in has no bearing on my decision to buy. I have a window of about a week to increase the order so, basically if anybody is interested let me know & I'll be glad to add you to the list of two.
Hammer

You can read design details for the Super Damper here. As you can see it is fully rebuildable & will spin well over 7500 rpm.

In the garage to dismantle S3 heads.

I'm interested if they are same size or smaller than stock, can rev to 7k and in general will work on my setup.

The ATI will be the same diameter as stock. They build dampers based on the rpm range and other characteristics. Ours will be taylored for a 7500 rpm 3.7" stroke motor by the elastomer durometer and inertia ring weight. The inertia ring is 5 lbs. I'm not sure what the total weight would be, maybe 9 lbs? The physical dimensions will be compatible with stock pulleys etc but with one important difference, the ATI will be a press fit. The stock damper as well as everything else on the crank snout has a clearance fit. The ATI unit will therefore have tapped holes on the face for using a puller to remove, conviently they will be the common Chevy 3 bolt pattern so a guy could bolt things on like aftermarket dry sump pulleys etc,. The interference fit does make it different from stock so it shouldn't be considered as a direct replacement.

That press fit is interesting, since the timing belt cog is behind the dampener. Are these press fit versions really tight? Because any belt work would require the unit to be removed.

I'm still in, but haven't even gone in the garage to get the snout size on the scat to see if I can play.

Brendan,
Press fit merely means you would need a puller (like a steering wheel puller) to remove the damper using the three holes provided in the new damper. Routine job. My crank is also a Scat so you're covered there.

I have an account at ATI & the order for this project is being billed to me. They don't plan on this being a stock item in the future. So I will have to pay for the batch & I will divide the cost EQUALLY amongst us all, including myself. A copy of the original invoice will be available to all. When the time comes (in about a week or so) the drawings will be completed & they will begin machining. At that time they will call me for a total number of units. I will contact everyone who is interested. No deposit, no inclusion.
Sorry but,
1. People sometimes change their minds & don't feel obligated to pay after doing so.
2. I have no desire to own multiple Porsche Super Dampers.
Regards, Hammer

Well, I mean, I don't even HAVE a dampener for my Scat crank, so I am in no matter what. Other then a ragged-out used one, I don't have a choice, and they aren't built for this stroke or crank weight or larger piston design anyway.

And I never would have thought about it before you mentioned it Hammer, thank you for getting this together with drawings and everything. I hope to give back to the community soon as well with a few ideas and designs I have (brake hats, caliper adaptors, suspension arms, etc).
