Default Bolt on Mods

I want to get about 20-30 more HP out of my stock 85. I DO NOT WANT A SC. I do not want to go into the engine. Im looking for exhaust, computer, intake, pullies, timing.. things like that.

I want some bolt on mods. what is available and what HP/torque increase can i expect?

Thanks!
Kyle

Lose the cats, put on an x-pipe and you'll be there! Pretty simple.

An x-pipe and exhaust work will get you that.

Chip and x-pipe are the best bang for your buck with the '85, and simple to do too. Reportly, the '85 responds very well to these simple mods.

These mods were on my list for my '85, until I found the '88, and will be selling the '85, so I won't be bothering to upgrade it.

I can't lose the cats. yet.. I can only do so if i drive the car less than 5000 miles a year... I think Im going to be around that.. but will not know for another year.

I guess the X pipe and chip will be where i will start

Fox, I had N20 on a vett... very disappointing when the bottle is empty.... Im not looking for boost. I want self made raw hp...

It aligns the ions in the unburnt hydrocarbons so that they flow more easily thorough the exhaust. It fits fine with the stock exhast, unless it doesn't, then it fits like crap.

Lose 300lbs...on the car that is...

...and let's put it this way, it will be a much better 30hp gain than an X pipe could give...your car will be quicker for the same hp number!
