Things are going well however we are still playing with the fuel. We've been running very very rich at idle (and in general rich) and we are trying to determine the cause, problem and fix..

On Wednesday a run was done at 12psi and the car ran well under boost. Cruising at 45mph in third gear and then dropping the hammer resulted in traction issues from 2800rpm all the way to 5000rpm.. Don't know what that means in HP terms but once tuned correctly it's going to the dyno to find out.

So for now, we are working out the fuel and things are moving nicely although, getting it done before SITM is going to be a close call. It has to go to the paint shop once completed to get a scrape fixed on the front bumper cover and fender. I'm pushing to get it done so myself and the car can be there.

Thanks All for asking about the project!

Abby,

If you can get the car to SITM. Just open the hood. I assure you that noone will notice the scratch on your bumper cover. We will all be too busy staring into your engine bay.

The tires are half the reason we were spinning.

After all, they are slightly dried out Kuhmos.

I'm likely going with drag radials on the rear....

Todd switched to Micky Thompson street radials this year. It was the first time he ever went WOT in second (automatic) without roasting the tires.

Hey Abby,

Was eating lunch the other day and while drooling over the shops Lotus I noticed your car outside. Took the opportunity to go look at it. Nice looking ride. I've always loved the way the S's look and in black makes them even more sinister. Looks like you guys have put quite a bit of homework into setting it up. Very proffesionally done!

By "traction issues" do you mean total burnouts on light throttle?

I'm sure he means under WOT or near WOT application issues similar to what I have.

They always have some beatuiful rides there, and is that shop awesome looking or what?

Thanks, I'm glad you went and looked at it and yes, those guys do really good work. And the 928 Turbosport design is proving to be very effective. We're going to get the fuel MAPS ironed out this week and then the car goes to the body shop to fix the scrape on the front and I may have the entire car painted while I'm at it. If I do, I would include removing the side strips and updating the mirrors. Haven't decided yet since I am really trying to take the car to SITM the first weekend in June.

I'll give you a heads up when I come back to NOLA to pick it up and maybe we can catch the lunch we have never got around to doing. Should be within a few weeks.

Abby,

Just fix the scratch. I don't want any excuses for not making it to SITM. Don't worry about coming down to NO. I'll drive the car to you. I'll shread the dry rot off of the Kumho's too. By the time you get it they will be down to "fresh" rubber. HaHaHa!!!!!
