Default AIR body kit pictures

hello All,

A few weeks ago, there were a number of threads concerning the AIR body kit (used on the GTE car). In addition, there was a posting about a group buy for the kit.

Below are some pictures of a car that has the kit (front & rear only) installed. These pictures of the body kit are probably the best I've seen.

No affiliation, no finders fee necessary. Enjoy

Love the front, not too crazy about the rear though.

Maybe if it looked more integrated onto that round @$$...

Rocket...

There's a side skirt (middle) that isn't installed on the car. It sort of "ties/completes" the body lines from the front air dam to the rear skirt.

Thats the first thing I noticed Roger, the lack of rocker panel trim. It would tie the front and rear together better. Poor paint match though. Makes it look cheap and ricey with the two tone grey. Not a bad look as far as aftermarket panels for the 928 goes though.

Incideltly, James Garner (famous actor) used to be part owner of AIR I believe or he had a big hand in starting the company, as he used to race cars.

Here is an 80's version of a full AIR front end.

Yup the rocker is the only thing missing other than that I like it.

I like the shark fin antenna. Also, it's an early VIN 87, so it should have a flip-up wing, but probably replaced by an AIR one. Piston oil squirters perhaps?

Actually I like that too. Is it a satellite or a cellular antenna?

If its for satellite - I'd like to get one myself and replace stock (cheap ****) XM antenna I've already got atop my Shark.

IMHO the kit very carefully destroys most of the best features of the 928 body. The car looks like it's wearing a bib and a diaper.

+1 on the front only. Not sure if that would make the car look completely imbalanced to do just the front, though. Makes it look a little like a 944 turbo front, which I have always liked. The rear looks a little ricey. Both appear to increase drag, though.

I agree on the drag issue, they're both a drag, man.

I like the front. Don't like the back. And did that antenna thingy on top.

Looks like the rear fascia shrunk during its first wash. I like the front though.
