This time I got my order in on time. The rest of you can just be "jellyous"......like I was when I lost out on the first batch.

Dan, check is on its way.

Sorry, one more time:

For us '85-'86ers, there was a different bolt originally, right? I think it was a 2 piece bolt. Will these work as a replacement or am I stuck with OEM replacements?

Daniel:

Not trying to burst your bubble, but the late cam cover hardware will not work on an '85/'86 model. The late hardware is a different diameter and length than the '85/'86 hardware (the factory updated '85/'86 hardware). The long bolts are close enough that they will work, if either the diameter of the bolt is changed or the washers are bored slightly. The short hardware will not work. Unless you have specifically made hardware for the '85/'86 models, I would not sell the late stuff to people.

However, it should be very straight forward for you to make a few changes in your tooling and crank out batches of the hardware for the '85/'86 models. If and when you decide to do this, I am very interested in obtaining this hardware. If you do not have samples of the '85/'86 updated hardware that Porsche made to replace the two piece crap, I'd be happy to send you some samples.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he has done, but I've been wrong before.

Hmmm, that's interesting. In one of my other threads, Big Dave indicated that these were a drop-in replacment. Well, if anyone will send me the updated hardware for the 85-86 for me to reverse engineer - I will send back a free set of my improved bolts!
