Default Steering Wheel Options For Non-Airbag 928

Just how limited are we with Steering wheel options?

I know Momo definitely makes an install adapter. Is that it?

Has anyone mounted a Grant steering wheel.. I like the one shown here,
except that it's not real leather.

How 'bout the 930/968 wheel, pricey but really nice. Can this be mounted
to a 928?

There is a version of the "930" Wheel made by Porsche for the 928....

The pic is a little old but here's my Momo installed in my 78'.

My old wheel was trashed and needed to be replaced.

Thanks Guys,

David do you have the specs for the 930 wheel and the 'RS' wheel?
I did not see them listed on your site.

It would be nice to have a slightly smaller diameter than the stock wheel I have.

Thanks

Rich,

I am pretty sure they are approx. 350mm same as standard Momo size we sell. They are about an inch smaller than stock (375mm).

Hi

I have a Momo copy wheel...pretty blue with a square bottom....(works better than that sounds and gives extra leg room)

As I have the momo adaptor ...there are hundreds of wheels that will fit...it seems to be the "standard" boss....

All the best Brett

Go with the wheel Dave Roberts has suggested. It looks the best of all, feels great, and if you ever et into an accident, there is at least some padding between your head and the metal.

Of all the aftermarket wheels, the Porsche type is by far my favorite.

I've been planning on getting the "RS" wheel for a while, and I will eventually. I've just had some other things to take care of first. I've never actually seen one in a 928 but I think it will definitely make the interior look more modern.

Atiwe used to make adapter which fits 928. Their wheels are often available at German eBay but adapter is somewhat difficult to find. In case anyone knows where to find such adapter, friend is looking for one to his S4.

I think that I am the odd man out here, but I do not like the look of the 930 steering wheel at all. I think the MOMO wheels look much better. I do like the look of the airbag equipped wheels though.

That's exactly what I'm going for "more modern". Not that I don't like the look of the interior.

That RS wheel is definitely sweet.

Maybe someone will post a picture of it in a 928... Anybody?

There's lots of options available to non-airbag model years.

I had this wood one installed in my '79 convertible, for example:

If you ever get the chance to put your hands on one (literally) and compare the feel to the others you may change your mind.

Rich,

This is the only installed photo I have. BTW, the RS wheel is actually a MOMO wheel made for Porsche.

I recently installed a very similar Momo in my car, and it really feels and looks better then the stock one.

I could not agree more. It's simplyl the best steering wheel I ever felt - and it looks the best of all aftermarket steering wheels in the 928.

If there was an airbag version of it, I'd alredy have it... I can't justify $1,200 forthe TechArt airbag wheel.
