I have been tryng to find out what color my car is. All the websites I have found for touch up paint, do not have my color, & the color code, under the cargo carpet, has been no help either. You can see in my avitar my car is a forrest green. The only info I have seen is from the Tire Rack! When I punch in my year 928, to see how wheels will look on it, they give you a choice of colors. They list my color as "Rock Green!" Anybody know if this i correct? My car is an '84 Euro.

Is there no color specification on the driver's door frame? You should see a three-numbered code there. Perhaps a color name as well...?

I have some stickers covering other stickers from the importation, is that the right word? Anyway one sticker is paper & worn beyond recognition. The covered up one is stuck to the one on top of it. Some other donot have that info. It's no big deal & I have found a touch up paint that matches well enough for me, I was just curious as to if anyone would know the name!

ROW's often times have different or NO stickers on their door frames.

Lift up the carpet in your hatch. On the right side there should be a sticker that lists the VIN and the options. This will have the color code. L700 is the code for black, for example. I don't know the color code for "rock green".

I did find the color code under the carpet, but when I gave it, when trying to find the paint, all the places, including Porsche, had no info on this color code. Kinda weird!

The only standard optional metallic green for a Euro S in MY 84 was Moss Green metallic 20C.

Not a good picture, but see if you local paint shop can show you 20C.

It's possible a custom colour, they often turn out to be VW/Audi colours...

Moss Green would be correct for 84 MY. IIRV my color code was LM6V
