acura le mans races in st pete
it was a great day today. took a little ride in the car.
we had a meet in st pete and watched some of the races. pretty cool.
i kept two vettes where they belong-
in my rear view mirror.
the mini meet
check out the huge dent in fabio's car J/k but it fooled us all. it was just a reflection

That long haired guy has sure turned into a lard a$$. Do digital cameras add 30 lbs?
I had a great time yesterday. It was nice to get to watch the race in the shade for free. We Porsche owners raised over $2,000 for the Ronald McDonald house. George Appunn's car was closely scrutinized by the judges no less than three seperate times. I truly believe that they were considering him for a prize. George and I had alot of fun creating categories that we felt our cars might win such as; nicest car that wasn't invited, and most cracks in a single dash, etc. Georges car is pristine for the uninitiated. Mine, well....not so much. We also had Mark (Tampa928) and his lovely wife there as well. Mark is a pretty nice guy and his 86 is very nice. He has put alot of work into it and it shows. Ceedee came with his new aquisition. This car is looking better and better. Tarek and Scott M. showed up in the famous red roof rack 928. We also had a new fella show up. His name is Guiermo and he lives in Brandon. His car is an 81 I believe. Hopefully he will show up here soon. Kim Risky Biz was there working the race but unfortunately I didn't get to meet her. Hopefully I can change that at SITM.
Thanks Mark for giving us the heads up on the P-Car meet. And thanks to everyone for showing up.

Got to meet Scott & Tarek. Sorry about the quick nickle IMSA tour, but hopefully you got some insight into how ALMS racing is different than spec racing, anyway! How did you know that was me on top of the building, btw?
Ceedee -- I had no idea about your 'excitement' to meet (nor exactly from where it arose!)... However, let me know in advance if you plan on attending any of the ten remaining ALMS Sports Car Races and IF YOU ARE PHYSICALLY PRESENT at the facility, we should be able to connect!
George, sorry you had to leave... SITM for sure!
Thanks to Paige for heading up the P-car event you guys attended. I had the good fortune of meeting him one evening during the event.
Also, I will post the info re: the photographer that was assigned to shoot the P cars, once I confirm that he did, so that you might seek out some more shark shots!
Here's a few scenes I caught:
Up close to the controls of ACURA Andreti Green:
ACURA Lowe's Fernandez:
Media Ride-Along:
The Calm. . . (AKA - I'm up WAY TOO EARLY!):
'REFLECTIONS' . . . I was sitting in the passenger seat... Poor soul in the driver's seat, eh?? (The palm tree reflection caught my eye):
Wrong place -- at the right time!:
I actually drove this little number... OK, for ~2 miles, but fun... (not trading RSKY BIZ in any time soon, however!):
I have some more. . . but can't post 'em all right now. Happy to share if there's any interest.
Next stop is Long Beach, CA in less than two weeks. Anyone attending?
Ned to start a new thread. . . Always something!

Sucks for you guys, Seattle is beautiful right now ... we've got like 200 straight days of rain, and the mud is finally starting to feel pretty comfy to sleep on. My skin is a lustrous albany white.
