Nice idea, but the style of the buttons make the 928's interior even more out dated.

It has potential but it looks a bit outdated with the raised and exposed switches. Have you consider dropping them flush with the center console and fabricate a cover to have it all flush with the center console?

I wonder what 993 switches would look like in a 928?

Roger,

It's an '84 928 I wanted something "period correct" for the car so, i used BMW switches from that era! I have some MBZ "rocker style" switches i am going to try with a billet look instead of the acrylic i set these switches in! That will give it a more "Modern" look hopefully.

Chris,
I think that looks very nice and I do like the period German look. I thought non-lighted switches would be a problem, but I've become used to operating them by feel, day or night. I do think you have a good idea though.

I knew I had seen those somewhere. Those are the same window switches that were in my '86 BMW 735i.

I like it! Much better function than the original. These don't get effected when the console slightly warps.

Imo000 - good point about the switches and warped consol - this is the exact problem I am having - I'm on my second pass window switch - can't figure out what is causing the problem exactly or how to fix it. The switch starts out fine, but then it only works to put the window down. It won't work to put it up again, unless I press real hard. And after awhile that doesn't work anymore either. How can this be corrected? thnx

I will never understand the dislike of the original 928 center switches. They are in the best possible spot and you don't have to look at them to use them, they are fit so well into the scheme of things that they actually disappear as part of the swooping console...AND you cannot accidentally use them unless you're just all thumbs.

I'd like to see an identical replacement that's lighted... haven't seen anything yet that I though would really "fit".
