How come we don't use these newer VW relays?

Sorry Normy/Harvey that's just not the way it works!
On the OB's the window relay only keeps the power applied until the door is opened - it does not control any window movements - all these are direct drive via the switches
So not possible on the OB's - you'll have to wait for Rod's solution..
