Default (Now w/pics) Group Buy: AIR Front and Rear Valence

I got word back from AIR. They will honor a group buy rate of $300 per piece, a $50 discount from the $350 list price. They would like to see 5 pieces total to offer this price, either front or back.

The way this would work is that they will keep a two week ordering window open. Whoever sends in their payment within that two week period is in on the buy. If they don't get a minimum five units ordered, you'll have to cough up the extra $50 per unit. If at least five are ordered, we are in. This price doesn't include shipping, etc., which will be extra.

I'm going to be out of town the first week of April. I'd like to have the group buy period start April 15th and go for the last two weeks of April.

Does that work for everyone?
Please post here if you are interested.

Default Count me in.

I've been looking at this since before I left. I'll be back on the 15 of April and definitely want one of the fronts, probably the back as well. That's two pieces right there. ;-)

Thanks
Rod

I'm thinking the same Rod, between the two of us, we're almost a group buy right there.

I've got the Ott rear flares that I'm installing also though, and I don't think I can get the rear to bend around the wider hips of the flares.

<sarcasm>Maybe you should consider getting two of the front ones - one to be on the car, and the other to repair and get ready for exchange when the one on the car breaks... </sarcasm>

I think that looks way better than the stock front spoiler...

Well no, I'll just have to drive in reverse wherever I go.

Actually this is a point of view that comes up often in other areas. One has the option of getting something that will last almost indefinitely and look oK, or to get something that "may" fail, but will look great ( opinion!!!) until it breaks. In this particular case, I'm going to opt for the second, but I fully understand the risks and am willing to suffer the consequences. Now, if I come back whining , then let me have it.

Owning a 928 is not, (again opinion) a situation that is full of logic for many of us.

Please don't consider this a flame, just my point of view.

Rod

Do the belly pans mount to the front?

Any details on how they are mounted?

Does anyone know how well made these are? Is there a lot of sanding, filling and prep work to be done to get the part to fit correctly? My experience is that if these parts are not made correctly they need a lot of work so they will look and fit well.

You know I'm in for a front at 300 dollars.

I am thinking about a rear bumper - so I will call them and see if there is a better price for those.

I need to see more pics of the rear. But I think the money is better spent for me on getting the car done, so it will be one front, and maybe a bumper.

BC,
$300 goes for the rear as well. We only need five units total (i.e. 3 front, 2rear) to make the group buy. I think we're there.
