Hi Kie,
How did the MM work go - did you notice a difference?

"I disagree that most Ebay sales include the shipping charges."

I think you may have misunderstood what I said.
"Most eBay sales are shipped with the buyer paying shipping charges."

Best,
Roger

Yeah, my pictures suck. Next time I'm parking the car in a vineyard or infront of a winery with the sunlight perfect, etc.

I didn't consider the ending time of the auction - oh well.

And we would consider shipping - sheesh - just ask.

Anyone have any questions about the car????

(ps. hi dave)
That is a fine first effort Beth. Sounds like you already know what to do with the pics. No silly Eurovans in the background next time around, although I sure like mine.

Supersize those bad boys! Load 24 of them. Spend $2.00 on the picture pack gizmo. Spend another $5.00 on the "Listing Designer" doohicky and select "Supersize photos and thumbnails". That way it opens up with a huge pic at the top and with one click the salivating 928 addict can get all the pixels his sick and twisted mind can handle from the comfort of his own home while wearing a bathrobe.

Make the bidding start at $1. Make your reserve $4999. Slap a fair "buy it now" price of $5750 on there. If anyone asks your reserve, and they will, politely decline. Post any and all questions and answer them promptly.

It works. If your 928 isn't worth as much as this 19-year old Honda Shadow motorcycle something is not right in this world:

I did misunderstand, sorry about that!

The MM went well, although I never even started or drove the car until the new ones were on. They sure were a lot taller than the old ones, thats for sure.

I'll post my '91 resto-saga in the next few weeks when I'm done. It will be a story of tears, joy, sadness, happiness, you name it.

Thanks again everyone - I learned a lot from this auction.

And yeah Bill, we should be at Sharks at the Park this year - thank's for your offer to help.

And most of all a big congratulations to the new owner of a crystal green 928 (just in time for St Patricks day) . . . . . . . hmmm, I guess I shouldn't ruin his fun, I'll let him reveal himself. . . . . .

Beth, take your pics on an overcast day if you can. Direct sun is too harsh to show that color well and the mixed shade/sun doesn't do it justice either. Shame I'm not in a spot to snag that car...

Congrats to the seller & buyer.... see how quick that was?
Note to future Rennlist 928 sellers..... put it on here first, not ebay

I have put it here several times, and actually over the last 6 months or so have sold the car about 4 times. But at the last minute the buyers back out. Soooo . . . . in desperation I went to EBAY.

Shark Attack: You should visit beautiful Napa Valley, California, and drive the car home yourself. You could have the time of your life... for about the same cost of shipping the car.

Congrats, Kyle.

Although, we've now seen you get into a 79, fix its frame and do some work on it, only to buy an '84. Then you did some work on that and got it running, only to buy an '85.

You better be satisfied by the time you work up to a '95. At this rate, that will be about next summer.

Matt
