Default 87+ S4 stickers- Photo request

I got in touch with the guy on Ebay who sells sticker sets and asked him whether he had sets available for '87 and younger 928's. He said that he might have individual decals in stock but that I should send him photos of what I'm looking for.

I am missing my radiator stickers- Can anyone please post good pictures of the folloiwng:

-The r12 (not the r134a replacement sticker) charge sticker for an S4 with dual A/C part number ????????

-The metal foil 'high voltage' sticker 964.701.163.00 (this is probably the same that he's got as part of his '86 and earlier sets)

-an unsunburned 'unleaded fuel only' quarter window sticker 928.701.173.02

Thanks!

I think several of us have bought sets from this guy before. Classic Car Decals out of Doral, FL. He sells on eBay. He sources them out of South America, IIRC. His current sticker sets are close but not exact. He has the right foil finish on several of them, but they are not the correct size and the text is not always right. He has an R12 but it is not the right charge for later cars.

So, he is willing to create an 87+ sticker set with correct stickers? Great. Somebody else was collecting photos a year or so ago to do this. We need to give him correct dimensions too.

Bill-

Oops - I didn't search to see whether this had been proposed before. I'm not sure whether he's willing to make a new sticker set, but I have to believe that given the utterly obscure sets that he DOES have (no way that they're all NOS for a flat fee of $40-45) he must be able to reproduce in some matter if we give him good photos with rulers alongside. I'll certainly document all the decals I have left and send them along.

Ok, I'm getting carried away with this. I e-mailed this list to the Ebay vendor with photos- we'll see what he can supply.

I THINK that this would be the complete list of decals for a 1990 GT. Can someone with a 1989 or 1900 with original radiator and dual A/C please post a picture of their A/C charge decal? The measurements in mm would also be great.

Rob those I believe are already in his sticker offering. Not the Porsche alarm , spare pressure or VIN tags. but the others yes. THEY ARE REPRODUCTIONS but worth it.

Roger-

You're right, the firing order sticker and the yellow high voltage sticker pics I posted are from 928SP. However, that yellow high voltage sticker is the GTS version- I need the gold foil HV sticker. Santiago (the Ebay sticker guy) has these.

I'm sure my request was missed in the giant mess I posted, so I'll ask one more time- can someone with an 89-91 S4/GT with dual A/C, an original radiator and who is still running R12 please post of a pic of their A/C charge sticker?

Thanks!

Rob - this is cropped from a different picture - if you want, I can take a better one tonight/tomorrow and send it along?

Troy-

Cool- I sent Santiago a bunch of photos of mine and he asked me to re-take a few- I get the sense that he can repro them from photos. So if it's not too much trouble, it'd be great to get as high-res a shot as possible, so the part #, etc are legible. Thanks!

Rob--

I took an AC sticker picture but it's a bit fuzzy. Need to get the tripod out there and shoot it without the flash too.

PM me your e-mail and I'll drop-ship a few higher-res image with a scale included.

I was driving past LA Label the other day after seeing the start of this thread, and need to get in there to see if they have the gold foil material. I'm sure we can do a little manipulation of a file to get an exact match. The clear label material is available at office supply places, but there's no good way to put white letters on for the alarm labels. The unleaded fuel strip in the windo would be a breeze.

All the original underhood stickers are intact on my car, if you need more references.

----------

In the doorjamb, I have a VIN bar-code sticker that was printed on what looks to be a standard paper mailing label. It was made with a dot-matrix printer that was on the third pass on the ribbon, so it isn't real sharp. I also haven't been able to get a definition on which bar code standard was used. Anybody else have this sticker, or know what bar code method was used? I can redraw the bars if necessary, but would rather print to Photoshop so I can work on duplicating the worn-ribbon look there. This isn't obsessive, is it?

Bob-

I've got the little VIN bar code sticker too. Dunno about bar code conventions. Will post a pic tonight or tomorrow.

EDIT: Here it is. I have it at high res too if you really want to count lines.....:

If this guy produces a set for 88+ then I'm definitely interested in one.

He does the high tension warning in the correct foil as well. His repro looks exactly like the yellow one shown above (for GTS), but in foil. Here is a pic of the repro and my original on the car. The repro is about 3/4 inch too small, the basic warning looks good, but the detail text is wrong. I'll take a better shot of the original later.

Bump-

Anyone with an S4 that has its original radiator r12 / voltage / firing order stickers in place that could take a photo and post it for me? Perhaps with a ruler or two for scale to show positioning? I want to install the metal foil decals I ordered a long time ago and get 'em in the right place.

From some scattered pictures I've seen, the high voltage warning is centered and placed along the anterior edge of the radiator. R12 fill sticker of course passenger side and firing order driver side, but how far from the landmarks? Are they consistently located, or were they were slapped on by someone whose positioning depended on how close it was to closing time, or Oktoberfest? Might be an interesting comparison....

Rob I'll take some pictures when I get home tonight with a measuring tape for placement.

Along the same lines, does anyone have a good picture or suggestions on where to buy the coolant reservoir sticker?
