Has anyone re-designed the window felts?
Someone suggested rollers instead of the friction set up.
Other ideas before I ruin another tint?

Rog just re-did the felt on RSKY BIZ which was causing wear on the existing tint.
About to go for the tint re-do. If there's somethiing better -- 'I'm all ears' . . . (well) . . . .

I used moleskin and have about 2 months on them with no scratching. I also was the one that was going to play with rollers, etc. but I couldn't find a used set to mess with. The problem is the current configuation drags any dirt on the window glass into the felt. I was thinnking you could put a soft plastic scraper ahead of the felt to scrap the dirt off first.
The simpliest solution I found was a tinter who would warranty his tint for life.
Good luck, Ralph

The current design is less than optimal. By the time you realize the window or windor tint is scratched it's too late.
Anybody have a couple of window felts to volunteer?

Have a look around, but I don't think any other cars use this arrangement with a SINGLE center track and a pair of felts like the 928 or rollers to stabilize the window. All I could find in a quick look use TWO tracks (on the sides) or a rigid bottom plate on the window held at two points, eliminating the need for the felts or rollers.
