Hi guys -
I'm bringing this thread back because I'm going to try again to sell my '93 GTS - at a new and improved price!
The lease on my current 2006 Audi daily driver will be over in Dec. So I'll need a new DD. Ideally I'd rather not make the GTS into my daily driver. It's not good in snow, and I don't want to put a lot more miles on this car.
Current mileage is 82K.
So, I'm leaning toward getting a new Audi - maybe an S5, an A5, or a 4.2 A6. To do that without incurring debt, I'll need to sell my GTS.
I believe the car is unchanged from the original description at the beginning of this thread. If you want detailed info and pics, check out the first page of the thread.
Once each year I take the car in for its annual Pap smear. Dave Lomas checks flexplate play and changes the oil each year at that service.
Tire rubber is still good.
The only thing I can think of that might have happened since last year is that the lines to the tranny fluid cooler were replaced. Otherwise the car has only required routine yearly maintenance for the past two years.
I realize that today's market is down. Therefore I'm willing to reduce my asking price by over 10%. Asking price last year was $36K.
Current asking price for a Rennlister is $32K.
I'm not anxious enough at this point in time to put her on eBay or even in the Renny classifieds. Just thought I'd let the 928 crowd know.

Frankly, Big's is asking only a few thousand more than some are asking for high mile GT's with rebuilt engines. If you can squeeze the extra dollars, the GTS will depreciate much slower...I feel. And Bigs is **** about upkeep.

I need a '93 and '95 GTS to round out the GTS collection, but I am just not there right now... Still pining for a Ferrari... went to a Ferrari gathering this weekend...damn pretty cars! Not that the 928 isn't but the Italian iron just has a more exotic look to it...
Hope you can sell for what you need to get and I wish I would win the lottery soon! I need a few more 928's in the garage along w/ a few Ferrari's!

Well, a red/black GTS sold on eBay recently for $40K. It did only have ~25K on it, but I'd almost bet that BIGs' car is in equally good if not better condition. That car was on Long Island as I recall. I absolutely love driving my GTS, and it is the 6th (and last) 928 I've owned.
Good Luck Bigs, sorry you are selling. Btw, you SHOULD list it on the Member to Member classifieds in the Forum section at least.

PUT IT ON EBAY!
SERIOUSLY! The guy that is buying my car doesnt check Rennlist daily, if at all honestly.
There are so many fish out there, Ebay is the way to catch em!
Why take less and keep dropping your price to sell here? Raise your price, put it on Ebay and let $32,000 be your reserve, it should meet that and probably net you a bit more.
OH AND TAKE LOTS OF HIGH RES PICS!
