Default Normal Stateside sources for S4-like bumpers?

Anyone?

I have no interest in 2k for a bumper from France. Maybe I have oversimplified that issue, but I love the OB tail on the 928, but could be open for some updating of the front.

Wasn't there a thread a few months ago about someone who puttied his S4 bumper to a different shape?

Can we put picks of JUST S4-like 928 bumpers on this thread if you know where they are and how I can get them?

Or would an S4 bumper on an OB back end look weird?

It's not a snap to do. There's considerable cutting & welding to do but I did it. I didn't like the OB rear either.

I like the OB rear. It represents what Porsche was really thinking in 1971.

Well, I have now gotten ahold of a very good condition S4 front bumper cover. It will need stripping, but I have already stripped one, so thats no issue.

Does anyone have any tips of shipping?

And would anyone know where I can find that thread about the guy that added some glass to the bumper to make it look more modern?

Holy Sheite. That is very very interesting. Is that fiberboard? It does interest me in a very disturbing way.

That from the car with the ott-flares? What a waste if it was. I can see all that work.

No, that's a engineered renewable building prduct! Slap some cloth and resin on it and you're ready to go.

In Brendan's defense, however, it is easier to work off someone's rough draft, than to start from scratch.

It may not look like much yet but it should look like the front of my race car with a bit more work. Yes the splitter is plywood which is
actually a good material to use as it will inevitably rub on the ground. Even F1 uses wood on the bootom of there cars.
