Plan to come - assuming plane arrives on Thursday from 12 days in the Scottish Isles. If not - could be a problem getting there!!!
Don't worry, however, as Dave and Jeannie will get the $$ for T shirts/SITM support whether or not I make it!!!

Cheers,

Didn't someone post sometime ago that the towing weight of a 928 is very close to another 928?
I could just see Wayne towing a 928 with another.
Too bad the front tow hook is so offset to one side.

Hope ya got that timing belt warning extinguished.

I read somewhere that the towing weight is 3500 lbs. for the 928. I always assumed that was with the factory hitch.

Must be a few towing hitches floating around in Europe.
I can just see the family taking a family vacation in an uber 928 towing a
camping trailer/caravan.

So when's Texans in the Mountains again?

I'd like to have one to tow my motorcycle. Why should my car have all the fun down there in N.C.?

On the other hand - I could ask Tony to fly to BWI and drive my car down so i can take the moto.

John,
One of the reasons why I Precisely want a hitch for Rosy.

I have been to the area around 928 Specialists for several years, BEFORE I recieved Rosy, and was apprised of the fun runs down there with other shark owners.

In my case though, it was with vintage motorcycle groups. Nice, slow, easy rides, enjoying the natural scenery, versus the hairy-scary canyon tactics of the rice-racer crotch rocket bunch, bouncing off of gaurd rails [which I have seen the results of ], or ending up off the road, down the side of the hill, or mountain [ which I have also been involved with, as I almost lost a friend to such an accident ]. I have three old dinosaurs I'd love to show off the time and engineering differences to the 928 with. Including the three rail bike trailer I have access to, Rosy would be towing less than 1800lbs.
And WHAT a sight that would be! The bikes would sit taller than Rosy!!! [ "Whut's thet commin' along behind thet 'Porch'?" ]

The second item, would be to be able to tow the 356 along behind Rosy. Old versus new-er.... And aerodynamically towed as well!

Where's the respect? Even a redneck isn't going to call it a "PORCH".

Third year in a row another of my kids is graduating from HS on the same weekend; I'll have to see when college graduations are, but I think in June.

I'm going for sure. By myself. Still looking to hitch up with a room and roommate.
My life is very busy right now, and should be settling down by June. Just in time to relax a little. I'm really looking forward to it.
