Those marks are from factory machining.

I saw the same thing when I did my oil pan gasket. Everybody has already chimed in with the answer. The machining can fool you. If you didn't have a chance to observe the condition of the thrust bearing, do the end play measurement to reassure yourself. Pictures of real TBF show more damage.
