Default What's this prototype 928

Hi all, I'm a 951 guy (don't hate me!) but I spend a fair amount of time reading this board as well.

A friend of mine recently took a tour of a local car collection and linked me to some pictures of the cars in the museum. Mostly US iron but these two caught my eye and I wondered if this esteemed group knew anything about this "One of two prototypes produced" 928? The museum is in Longmont, Colorado, btw. My apologies if this has already been discussed.

By any chance, any closeups of the info board in front of the car?

I should have added that I'm skeptical as to what sort of "prototype" it is but figured this group would know.

No, sorry, those are just pictures linked to the collection's site.

Looks very "Gemballa- esque" In addition, it looks like the new Mazda MX-5.

Ah, ok. Didn't look like a factory prototype to me so I was curious what it was. Thanks

I recall seeing that car or one like it in a lighter color at the Mont Tremblant Porsche Parade a few years ago. In person it seemed alot more attractive.
But this one might not be the same car.

Thank you. but I'll keep my factory original coupe.

We saw it at the Gmünd outside of Denver last year. I thought it was fairlyl attractive, even though there were some details that just did not seem right.

Here's the first one. This is a roadster. ( no side windows or top) I made the tubing bender and the roll bar for the car. I also helped with some of the glas work
