I've done pretty-much the same but went with a 10" tube. It's way larger than I thought it was going to be, but it still allows me to chuck in my hockey bag (huge), 2 sticks as well as the Bazooka in the back, while folding down only one of the rear seats...

I didn't want to lose my spare and went with the easy tube option.

I've been driving my car daily for over a year without a radio. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

My setup, pictured on the first page of the thread, isn't really all that loud to be honest. When it is turned up, and the windows down, you really can't hear much bleed out of the windows. What I like about the set up is you can feel the kick drum and bass, not just hear it. I'm a bass player and drummer, so I like it that way. I know most people don't. In fact, it makes my wife physically ill to be bombarded with high pressure low notes.

I've decided to undertake creating a fiberglass speaker enclosure that will better flow with the interior. I'm looking forward to learning a new skill. I'm very happy to be replacing that horrible looking speaker box.

As for music, I've been listening to this band from Nashville that I just happened to see in a dive bar one night recently (long story). I think they're great for a no name, no nothing band. It's hooky, unoffensive rock. Check out the song Let You Let Me Down at http://www.formerband.com/music.html (no it's not my band).

For me, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion albums "Orange" and "Now I Got Worry" are my favorite go-fast music. Anything by Calexico or Wall of Voodoo for long drives.

You guy's are really making me hate my car (not like that is actually possible). I thought I was the only one not carrying a spare. All those setup's are BEAUTIFUL!!!! Very nice work. The wheel woofer covers, VERY hot!!

Quick poll; Do you do all that fabrication yourself, or do you have a shop do it?

Hey Travis, I'm runnin' a mid line Eclipse. I'm not real happy with it (espicially after those pictures), but it gets the job done. If I had it to do all over again, it would be Alpine all the way.

No, it's Classic Gray, which in the right light has some lavender in it. Also the camera shot makes it look less like gray.

I made this enclosure out of fiberglass and shot it with left over materials from other projects. Shot the amps too.
