I just installed mine today and I have to agree with Ed, it makes a difference in low end torque you can definitely feel.
It could very well be that my old cats were clogged. Or the X does exactly what everyone is claiming. Whatever it is, I like it

Prior to selling the "Dave Lomas" X pipe I installed one of his systems on my GTS and the difference is VERY noticable. The best bang for buck out there.
My 87 with the X pipe was fast to start with (as fast as my GTS) now it is notiably faster.
The dyno sheets show something like 25 to 30 HP plus the Torque increase.
Just my 5c plus the comments of a large number of happy friends and customers.

X2 to all the Motorsports x-overs.

I put them on Sunday (just before Ed, but no pics ). I had it out again last night. I'm sure part of it is the sound making it feel stronger, but my 'assometer' is also saying there's more there.

I still have a leak at one of the cats where the clamp/fiberglass just didn't come up completely tight, so I have to go back in, but between the high flow cats, the crossovers and the fact the my old ones were 22+ years old, it's a noticable difference. Definitely worth the cost IMO.

Assometer, Schmassometer. One thing I learn from DE's is that you have a lot of "memory" in your feet.

Here's an example: Try braking moderately hard (do this when it's safe) with your left foot. You'll feel like a total goon, unless you do this regularly. I know what my RH foot is used to when taking off from a dead stop. When applying the same effort, I chirp the tires with the X-pipe. Eddie likey.

I'm talking with Capt. Carl about testing his new intermediate mufflers, so hopefully I'll have some more adjustment to be made with the volume ****.

Dyno's don't lie, these runs were done same day on the same dyno. It's not all low end, I re-designed it to work throughout the whole rpm range. Sorry for the messy resize, normal dyno sheets don't want to fit. The first one was an 86.5' and the second one was a GTS. The horsepower levels on the GTS were 266.82 before and 292.75 after, the torque was 276.76 before and 306.77 after.

Looks good Dave, that torque should be detectable by the average assometer. I'm not used to seeing such good results with only an exhaust mod. Most of them are grossly over-rated. That is not the case here.

Ed, it's okay, I feel like a total goon no matter which foot I use to step on which ever pedal is down there. You should see me land the plane - looks like I'm spastic all over! did you get your O2 in? Is the problem resolved? I'm going to be up in your area this weekend if you need a hand.

That torque @ 2K is what I'M talking about, to use a little Ghetto-speak. On the 86.5, look at the difference! That explains the fact that I need to re-train my driving habits.

Thanks for the follow-upDoc, I'm good. It looked like the O2 was disconnected, due to it having to reach, the rubber boots @ the connector were barely hanging together. The wiring came in thru the tunnel as everyone stated, but it was run up over the top shield and down thru a 3" hole. I've put the O2 on the passenger side, and run it up over the passenger side heat shield as it should be, and I'm good to go. Nothing wrong with a new O2 sensor....

Carl Fausett is going to send me his new intermediate muffler setup to test. I'm hioping that this will allow me to sh!tcan the muffler, and go back to the RMB. Here are details:

Okay, but do it again and you're banned.

Glad to hear your sorted out. Checking the voltage at the pins on the LH would have given you the answer right away. No voltage = no connection or a busted O2. If no voltage, I would have had you check for resistance at the same terminals. High resistance or open, check the connector(as mentioned above) and then replace the O2. When I have extra parts left over(most jobs) I give them to Roger, he'll find a use for it somewhere, or ship it to S Africa or Spain.

I still wanna hear/feel it with my own assometer. I promise I won't leave a residue.

Impressive Dave, those were H -> X, or different cats too?
