After I painted my calipers, I buffed the paint off the letters and the lines wth a 3M roloc disc. I clear coated the whole caliper when done. Just another option. Not the best pic.

Starting with MY '89 the Porsche Logo isn't cast into the calipers. So, you need the decal or a very steady hand

How about putting the stickers on, then painting the calipers. Just before the paint dries, remove the letter and the "Porsche" script will remain whatever color the was under them.

Ive had the stickers on mine for..geez...5 yrs?
I placed them on after the Pepboys caliper paint was dry.
Both have held EXTREMELY well. Id do it the same way again if i ever have to.

On the rears i painted them then sanded the PORSCHE letters to expose the metal underneath and left them that way.
