throttle cables loose after intake R&R.
I finally got around to removing the intake so I could change a cracked breather hose. I didn't totally remove the intake, but took it up just enough to get the job done. I unbolted the throttle assembly from it and laid it on the cam cover. I didn't take the assembly apart at all, just unbolted it. Now I put everything back together and it seems most of the associated cables have play in them. And the gas pedal is very easy to push and doesn't snap back up like it is supposed to. What am I missing? Thanks for your input!

The cable which goes from the side of the intake back under the aircleaner wraps around a pulley before going forward to the throttle body. Perhaps it has fallen off the pulley ?

Once you get that back on, there should be plenty of slack in the cruise control cable but no more than a smidge in the other cables. There is an adjustment for the throttle cable first half at the firewall, and for the second half at the quadrant. Make sure the throttle cable is not so snug that the throttle no longer returns fully to the idle stop. You should be able to hear the faint click of the throttle switch as it returns to idle position and another click as you just pull the throttle off idle. The AT pressure control cable is adjusted by popping off the ball end from the socket, loosening the lock nut and turning the ball end as needed so that it exactly mates up with the socket position with no tension but no slack.
