Are the CD's still available? Can anyone bring one to Sharktoberfest so I can make a copy on my laptop?

+ 1. It would be great to have this widely available. Maybe set up a "chain letter" kind of thing where we can spread it around. (Assuming the rights to do this are free and clear, of course.)

Sorry not to reply to this thread earlier. Just read this question.

I shot this with my 1969 Nikon FTn with F36 motor drive using Agfachrome CT18 color slide film and mostly a 24mm Nikkor f/2.8 lens.

I scanned each slide with my Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED slide scanner, capable of resolution up to 4000 dpi.

I resized the images into publication size (routinely 300 dpi) and into web use (72 dpi).

Absolutely fantastic to see these contemporary images. Indeed my car could be there! It is #1100. Some parts have datestamp from 1977!
Thank you!

You resurrected a five-year old thread to call someone an asshat?

Great resurrection. The thread first came around the year before I bought my 928. These are incredible shots.

Bertrand, I exchanged email's with Dan (the OP) when this resurfaced. He is traveling at the moment but will follow up when he gets home. Stay tuned...

Cheers, Jim

I too am amazed and gratified at the chance to not only see these photo's but to also read the seven year old comments from members who are still contributing today...These pic's have a much more personal connection to us than we could ever get from our "commercial" books.

These are a must have for all of us, can't wait to get a hi-res cd.

Thanks Dan!!

... not to mention how offensive the comment is to our Mexican colleagues.
