I agree with that. I just started looking at this thread and after I got over my initial amazement at the subject matter, I saw just how good the photography is! I'll chime in and add my very, very profound thanks for this - might seem like no big deal, but I deal with historical subjects in various forms all the time, and so much gets lost because it's not thought to be important. Thanks again.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for sharing the pics. This is one of the best 928 thread that I have seen. I know it probably tooks a bit of time to scan all 37 pics in the various resolutions. We are grateful that you took the time to do so.

I am also interested in getting a copy of the CDs for the 600 dpi scans. I will send you a PM as well as PayPal payment. Thanks!!!

Hi Dan,

I received the CD in the mail today. Thank you so very much for burning them and mailing them to me. I love the pics and the write-up to explain each pic. Thanks again my Porsche brethren!

Nice picturs. Things has changed a lot, not able to take pictures any longer. I found it out just funny what someone wrote about the Turks working on Porsche factory. Porsche factory is not a Opel, Ford or VW factory, most of the workers are Germans. I have been on factory tour several times in Zuffenhausen and i haven't seen any Turks there.
It's the same what comes to Boxter & Cayman factory here in Finland, all cars are built by the Finns.

The quaity of the scans on the CDs is amazing. I can't believe they are from old photos. What size was the source material?

Thank you for sharing your photographic treasures. We have a few early number 928's and it's great to imagine that your photo of a silver or brown 928 could easily be one of ours.

fabulous photos, and an equally fabulous recollection of details from 30 years ago

(I can't remember what I had for lunch today)

Thanks for sharing these!

I'd thought that I would resurrect this thread since I came across this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkuWX1myCw0

There is a brief excerpt in the 2:45 mark which shows the 928 going through production.

I know, I know... the video is probably an Enzo to some of you old timers
