Well your right. Some day I will aspire to the lofty regions of Porsche knowledge as so many here have. Damn my opinions and experience!

Cheers fellas........

The thing that gets me is you still come on a 928 board, and trash the 928 in a subtle way. Your car was thrashed, as was evidenced IMO when it was up on the dyno rack last year. Not all cars are in the condition of yours, nor give the problems yours did. So you, in essence, had a bum experience, and you chose to end it. Leave it at that, and keep your negative comments about 928's on the 911 board.

To me, this is like going on ferrarichat and expounding the virtues of Porsches over F-cars. You are entiltled to your opinion, it's just that we know your opinion all too well, and are don't need to hear it any more.

Why the hell is a 911 guy hanging out here anyway?

Tell ya what, Fausto - stick to the 911 forum and I won't have to bounce you outta here for a month or so...

Mike - I hope you can get your rad fixed relatively cheaply.

Loaded,

The way you trash talk your car, how does that make you look to the guy that bought it from you? Seeing as how he is a member here and is very excited about it. Personally, if it was me in his position, I'd be ****ing pissed.

on edit, it's all cleared up.

A lot of people bounce through the classic Porsches.

A lot of people experience frustration with 928s from time to time.

If I had a 928 with a leak in the radiator, I would fix it whether to sell or keep.

If I had a 928 as my sole car in the frosty north, I would consider a second car.

Sometimes life's not so little things add up until that little straw breaks the camels back.

Anyone in Mike's neck of the woods who could lend a little support ? I think that is what is needed here. That's the true meaning of Chrismas, Charlie Brown.

I bought the gt pt xp rs fx ss ...cruiser.

It is a really sharp looker and fully loaded with chrome 5 spokes , convertible, turbo, bla bla. The Kids dig it. I do too.
This one looks agressive and not feminin at all.
Quick and I'll make it quicker and faster soon.

The Kids and I took it out without the top down in minus 21 degrees celsius weather today.
They laughed their asses off. You could tell by the frost collecting in the mouth area.
The good times have already started.
I'm glad.

Of course I bought us all belaclavas-that's like a woolen BURKA for you warm climate people.

Anyway the 928 is parked and I feel sorry for her.
Isn't that wierd.

I imagine at times owning her when she was new.
That would of been something great.

Fun enjoyable drive when it works right.
I'd drive it forever if it worked right.
Just tired of the problems.

The 928 must have the worlds record for the most owners that sell within the first year. It doesn't take 8 months to find out the car doesn't suit you, or you don't suit the car, it takes a couple weeks. 8 months is more like how long some people can stand the mismatch once they realize what a mistake they made.

None of us have the same ownership experience, or life experience. If what you need is a reliable cheap car to get past what life is throwing at you, get one, and get past it.

If you really like the 928, park it and keep it, or sell it and get another later when money and life make it less of a challenge. Get a daily driver and keep the 928 for the weekends or something if you can.

OTOH if its really something else thats giving you trouble, don't dump on your 928, not if getting rid of it isn't really going to improve your situation.

Sort of O,T but can we do something about members who have naked broads in their avatars?

While at work, I clicked on to this thread and up pops Loaded's avatar and another employee saw it! God f* damn it!

At least it wasn't the Andrew Olson version.

You may be able to turn off images in general for the browser or maybe just the forum, or maybe a don't show avatars mode. I like the sexy avatars, seems to go with cars to me.

Wade,

While we're hijacking: There is a checkbox in your options that you can uncheck to disable the avatars. I had to do that at work and left it that way in case my wife was walking by while Andrew was messing with his avatar. I could explain any kind of nearly naken woman, but that shot of Andrew, I think we'd be in counseling...
