BUT a complication of this is that that fuel line loop in the rear that you are replacing can be kinked. Mine developed a definite fold, not only in the cover but in the core stiff-walled tube. Mine was original to the car, so it was due for replacement anyway, although the issue was not raised during installation and I only noticed the kink months later. The new hose seems more flexible and tolerates the squeeze on the loop without kinking. This feature of Andy's design did require shortening of the front fuel crossover hose at installation in order for it to fit.

Hey guys... got the driver cover off. Also got the breather vent tubes off too (Thanks Tony!). I've got them wrapped up and boxed to go to Jesse for P-coating. Can't wait to to see them back on! Now I get to clean up all those bolts. Any tips?

Wire wheel and get them re plated...all that stuff. Engine hoist loop...brackets etc etc. Thats what i did. You will start to see its the little details that will set your engine bay off! Like it needs any help with a blower on there anyway...but still, it looks sharp!

All thouse little caps! Geez! Looks like the buffing wheel's gonna get a workout. Maybe I should just buff the bolt heads and paint the caps? Anyone else do that?

As for cleaning, I got tired of cleaning up all the bolts and stuff by hand and bought a tumbler from Eastwood. It works quite well. Problem is that it does take off the plating along with the gook. Re-plating is the way to go I think. Eastwood has a home plating kit. I was going to give it a go next time 'round. You could be first...

Quick update:
Got all my ducks in a row, finally. Got my cam covers back today and I'm happy! Got my fuel hose last Friday and I'm happy. Tony helped me with something and I'm super happy! (Thanks again, Tony! )
Starting Friday, I'll be putting it all back together. First, cam covers, then the SCer. I can't wait t get it all back together. Look here for future updates.

Goign back together...
Well, today was a good day. Chaadster came over about 9:30am with a 6-pack of guinness. We did a couple of test fits to make sure everything was lined up. Then Dennis came over and joined the party. Once I was satisfied, we went for it. We gooped up all the gaskets and dropped the SCer in. We had one issue where there was some old "right stuff" in the holes for the bolts. Took a little diggin' but we got the clears and everything is torqued down.
I still have a lot of the little stuff to do like the fuel lines and the airbox, but that stuff should go rather quickly now that the SCer is in.
Thanks again to Dennis and Chaadster for their assistance.

Looks awesome guys - good job!!! Looks like great weather coming to drive these beats. This "off season" wasn't that bad. 928 went to bed in late December, will be on the road in March.
Quick question to everyone who helped. Please tell me Andrew kept his shirt on this time?
