The rears must be 65mm offset. The front 7.5s with 50mm offset will fit OK but tight. No big tires on front or they will hit the S4 fender lip unless you roll them. In fact, the front tires would have to be on the narrow side to clear. I have a set of 2002 996 10 spokes 17s (see avitar) that are 7.5x50 upfront.

No such ET as 85 on a original Porsche 996 wheel.
Probably a miss read, doesnt it say 65 at a closer look?

I'm on the phone, I'll PM you my number once I'm off (not a quick call)

If you can - post the part number stamped on the inside.

Those wheels are the factory solid spoke variety - possibly off a Boxster re. the front width.
These are still lighter than most aftermarket wheels - and likely made by BBS, which is a strong wheel.

They came off of my friends 1999, 966 cab, they are the factory wheels unless some one at the dealership changed them before he got it.

It says they are made in Italy.

I will post the #'s off of the back a soon as Photobucket uploads them, they are slow tonight.

What do the hollow spokes look like?

Some listers told me that the factory wheels have the offsets shown near the valve stems like these Cup 2's:

and that the replicas have the offsets on the backside of the wheels like these Cup 1' replicas:

I'm not sure if that is the case with the twists, but I think the same thing applies. I have Mille Miglia Twist replicas on the '85 and they are a nice wheel.

The hollow spokes have smooth backs, and a cross section of the spoke is roughly an oval shape. Generally, they also have metal valve stems.
The solid spoke ones have two recessed ribs cast into the rear, and a conventional rubber stem.
The 7.5" ET50 in front with a 993 p/n has got me - the normal 993 front is 8" ET52, and the 996 hollows are 8" ET50 with a 996 p/n. Could be a standard 996 wheel, but 7.5" was more common on Boxsters IIRC.

Very dangerous way to start a post

Most OEM wheels have the valve stem stamp - from what I can find the twists do not.

Garth,
So these are not hollow, correct?
