Default Where does the tachometer's "Pulse Sender" plug into the instrument panel?

I have a USA '81 auto. The part is part # 928.606.210.00 everything else found a home easily, but I cannot find where this thing plugs into. It sends the signal to the tach for the revs. I have the Factory manuals, and they don't even have them on there.

Thanks

Hmm, just lookaed at pet and see the part there. I have not see anything like that when my cluster was out, and looking at the three spare clusters none of them have connections other than the 3 cables. Is this something physically on your car?, or seen in pet? The WSM have been known to have a few discrepencies/omissions.

The part number you mention is for the "Impulse Sender" which lives in the transmission. The actual wire for the tach signal connects to the cluster on pin 3 of the middle connector, as I mentioned in your previous thread. Well, I didn't mention the pin number, but I mentioned it's on the middle edge connector.

Thanks, I didn't realize those plastic shims (great system) had come out, so my ribbon wasn't making good contact. What a PITA getting those ribbons in there.

Thanks again for taking the time to clarify stuff for me.

Best,

Scott
