One good, one bad.

Good: Black S east bound on 56 (ted williams) at around 9:30 or just before.

Bad: Red S looking (only saw top 10 inches of car) model on South bound 5 below Del Mar - Middle shoulder, stopped, noone that I could see, and a big orange sticker on the window, obviously from CHP saying "Move this damn car"

When I was in college we used to stay at the "Friendship Inn" in San Ysidro and then walk down to the fronton palace to watch and wager on Jai Alai games. We'd never take a cab because that cost like $3. Walking back through Tijuana at 2 a.m. was eery. There would still be kids out selling chicle, taxi cabs stalking us, shuttered little stores with bums sleeping in the doorway and young marines puking on their shoes.

Never got into any trouble though, even on the rare occasion where we hit a trifecta or quiniela and had pockets stuffed with cash.
