If one of those people unhappy with the hybrid motor speaks up perhaps I can help them out of their dilemma. ![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I know it "sounds" kinda funny, but I think I really want a different balance in the HP, more than it has now at like 180 rwhp, but around 300 rwhp sounds like it might suit me. If I want faster than that its WAY cheaper to do in my Mustang without turning a 928 into a street rod.

944 heads use the same LARGER valves as the EURO S motors. With some grinding and thinking, these heads can be used on a 928 - at least for the track - my mechanic is building his track car 928 using these heads for his track car.
You still need the beefier EURO S cams - or as some have done a custom weld job to change the US cams to Euro spec.
US 16 valve engines are lower compression. You either use a blower to force in more air or change pistons to get higher compression.

PM sent.
I've been doing some searching to see if 944 cam cores are available that could be custom ground for a 928, which I have been told will support more go than the Euro S cams, but nothing reliable yet.

When I was looking into 944 heads for my 928, I was told that I had to use my 928 cam towers and cams due to the 944 lobe spacing (which I presume is established by the core blank). I took it that the lobes are spaced differently in addition to the firing order isuue.

Most hybrids are not that radical. 5L short block (looks and works the same as a 4.5L or a 4.7L). Euro heads/cams look and work the same way as the US parts. Most hybrids retain the stock injection systems so that wont be an issue. Also almsot all parts of the 928 have part numbers on them so finding a replacement is shouldn't be a problem.
If I hd a choice, I woudl go for an all motor high HP 928 as opposed to a boosted one.
