Does anyone have the specs of the 1979 Euro. www.928s4vr.com didn't differentiate between the Euros and US models.
Thanks

their was no diff that year in HP, so everyone keeps telling me. I was also told their were no "S" either. however my PO said mine is an "S" and he was the nephew of the original owner who told him it was an "s" euro... so who freaking knows?

Euro 4.5L '78-82 and '80+ S have different VIN. Engines can be changed but VIN are mostly left alone so its more accurate way of telling with what engine car left from the factory.
True Euro hp is 240 DIN which is 237 SAE.

the 4.5L euro engines were rated at 240hp DIN....or 237 SAE...just like erkka says.....vs the US version with 219 hp....the biggest difference is catalytic convertors

Not to hyjack the thread, but looking at the link above, I found it interesting that on my year(1983) that the 0-60 with an auto trans was the same on both the US and Euro despite a large hp difference. I guess that extra gear in the trans makes the different. I offically don't have Euro envy! Seeing the performance figures together, it seems that the US and Euro difference is not signicant in most cases.
