Once all the snow stuff gets cleared out, I'm sure Ed wouldn't mind taking a nice long ride to fetch your car, Randy.

Wonder what those ricerish LED light ropes can do to light up the GTS rear panel.
Ton of time.
Dremel tool to grind out back of the GTS panel along the P-O-R-S-C-H-E logo.
Slip LED light rope along the Porsche trench.

That'll look just like those bar neon signs.

Dear Dr. Porsche.
Why does replacing one 1157 brake bulb with LED bulb not trigger the bulb check unit?

Ed,

That looks great! Well done.

I will add those LED's to my 07 to-do list.

Merry Christmas,
Michael

Ed, did you use red led's or white? I am going to do this on my OB 80 model, starting with the brake lights. Im thinking of going with red leds.

Last time I was at the local computer swapmeet one of the guys had a box of LED modules used as some kind of warning lights on aircraft. Each module was about 1" x 0.5" aluminum heatsink, two sided foam sticky tape on the back, with two surface mount LED's, and a twisted pair wire with a non shorting two pin connector coming out each end so they could be daisy chained together. Red LEDs, I didn't buy any at $10/3 modules, didn't seem like anybody else did either.

Match the lens. Red lens, red LED. Amber lens, amber LED. Clear/white lens, clear/white LED. Etc. The places selling automotive LEDs recommend not placing white behind a red or amber lens.

Not yet; hope to get back to it this week. Holidays kept me pretty busy with other stuff.
