Default 1987 928 S4 Auto $8k *new pics

I'm selling it because I got kicked out of my house and need the money to get back on my feet.
I have a thick folder with all the service records for the car, bills of sale, window sticker, dealer service records etc. the car has been serviced at dealers most of its life.

The Details:
Automatic with 127,XXX miles
Guards Red with Black and Tan interior
No Rub strips, oil squirter pistons, and folding wing
12" sub and amplifier in the hatch.
I just Replaced 3 CV boots (the 4th was recently replaced)
About a month ago I replaced- All intake seals and hoses, oil breather hoses, knock sensors, injector seals, and painted intake wrinkle finish red.
New brake booster check valve.
New brake pads and the rotors were turned and powdercoated red.
New hoodliner with crest
New Red Magnicor spark plug wires with Bosch Platinum 4 plugs
TB/WP and tensioner rebuild was done several thousand miles before I bought the car from another rennlister.

The Bad:
Heated seats don't work

Passenger side seat switches work sometimes, I have had some luck taking them out and fixing them but they break again, they need to be replaced.

Driver side headlight isnt sealed somewhere.

The paint was keyed by a PO's ex-wife from what I'm told, across the hood roof and down the sides, it isnt that bad on the sides and with some work could be taken out by a professional. The hood and roof look like they will need to be resprayed. It shines up great though.

***The car was recently hit by my dad with his truck going about 2 mph, the damage is light and I will have it repaired soon, or if you want a good deal you can take it as is.

I am asking 8k FIRM

What a shame you have to sell such a nice car Your asking price is very reasonable.

WhiteFox...for that price and the work you've already completed, I would think you should be able to eventually sell it. I think that's a very good price. The damaged fender I believe, and the hood/roof needing repaint should be fairly easy fixes. The hood/roof/fender both provide clean lines for a paint respay.

I wouldn't put another dime into it tho...unless you just keep it. Hit all the spots, Craigslist, Cars.com, PCA, anything you can think of and maybe you'll be lucky.

Really, it's looks in better shape than one would think.

Good luck.

I don't know about everyone else, but I would prefer to buy the car with all of the disclosed damage still damaged. That way I could fix the car to my personal standards.

Status of motor mounts? Has the TBF tension been relieved and checked recently at the splines? I'm a bit slow, so forgive me, but is $8k firm with damage different than with the damage repaired for $8k?

Thanks, may be interested,

Doc

With the damaged repaired I would have a higher asking price, as the condition of the car would be much better.

I will have pictures soon.

Thanks,

Whitefox:

I've admired you as the youngest 298 owner I 've ever known and watched with amazement at all the good work you did on this car. I didn't know which end of the wrench to hold at your age. This should be a speedy sale. It looks like a deal to me. I hope things improve for you and we will see you back relatively soon, but for now I completely agree that you do need to focus on getting the rest of your life moving forward. There will be plenty of time for fast cars later.

Most of the major stuff is listed in the ad, if you are really interested I could sit down and sort through all of the paperwork.

WhiteFox...come on man...get all your paper work together and other supporting material, maintenance logs, receipts and such and build yourself an email package so you can email that material to anyone interested. And, take additional photos and build yourself a nice ad...don't leave anything out. Let the car sell itself...it's a good deal.

Uh, Whitefox, Thats some pretty serious damage dude.Whole car needs body and paint work. Where is the int. pics? If it looks like the exterior, you may settle for 4500-5000 as a fair price. Not being a dick, just being truthful. Best of luck to you, Whitefox.

Yeah, I agree Kevin. The 86 near me is in pristine condition and I know they would jump on 7500. You sure you can't find a way to mend fences and keep it until you can fix it up? Seems a shame to have to dump it.

Well, everyone that has seen it gives the comment that the damage isn't that bad, I will keep it forever before I let it go for $5000.
