I may be rehashing this one since I noticed it has already been sold yet is up again... what do you think about it eBay item # 290060328730 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=290060328730)? Interior looks good. Missing air ducts... I searched for the item # and didn't find it in any current posts though I didn't search for its old auction #...

I have it on my watch list just for interest sake.
The feedbacks put me off and I smell a rat somewhere.
If you are reallr serious I will look at it for you.

Missing air tubes.
Missing t-belt covers.
Missing Wiper Arm Cover.
Stock color on cam covers?
Completely shot hood pad.
Paint on Crossbar is shot.
I'm usually a pretty positive dude. But all of the above are definite signs of more wear than one would consider "normal" for a 23k car. Buyer beware. PPI.

The seller's feedback is a bit troubling! Assume this one, like any 928, will need a few thousand $$$ to bring it up to good condition! The ad is well-written! Wonderful use of exclamation points! Really exciting! I can't stop using them myself now!

I love eBay. I bought my 89 on eBay. I got a great deal on a great car from an honest owner. The auction in question is exactly the opposite. Some of the warning signs have been mentioned. One other is the demand for 1/2 payment within 48 hours. You'll never see that again. The feedback is not just bad - it's atrocious. Even the one car he sold recently that did not raise a complaint was junk.

+1 on all the troubling issues that have been mentioned, plus it looks like the engine has been out to paint the cam towers -- or it's been replaced, or...
The shadetree vacuum hose routing isn't too big of a deal, but the unfused white wire off the jump post worries me a little, the hard line running over the spider and airbox worries me a lot. Also, why the dash cover if the interior is all perfect?
