Tweaking EZ-F?

If you were looking from above at the TempII sensor as it sits on the coolant bridge, the male connector on the sensor is wired like the diagram below. One side of the connector has a ridge down the middle, so you can only fit the connector one way. The EZ-F wire goes to the right hand side if looking at the connector, with the ridge on top.

Don't hack your harness!

If you really want to try it, I've got a couple sets of used connectors - $20 shipped - PM me.

With all new parts it would cost around $60 shipped. It would take a week or two to put together, but would look nicer.

I checked the ignition timing with a light, today.

+3° with the tweak at idle. 13° versus the stock 10°.

Put another way, the EZ-F retards by 3° when the coolant gets up to running temp.
