Default Euro 928S For Sale 26 PICS ADDED POST #41 NOW ON EBAY! RENNLIST ONLY PRICE $3000

I am selling my 1980 Euro 928S NO SUNROOF
Where do I start?
I bought this car in Aug of 2003. This is a project car, but I have done a lot of work already here is a list:

Engine:
-New rod bearings, installed Ishihara-Johnson crank scraper stage 2 (no windage cover.
-Oil pan stud kit & gasket
-Replaced head gaskets, heads were resurfaced
-New valve stem seals
-Cam tower gaskets & rear seals
-New dist cap, plugs, wires, rotor thingy
-All vacuum hoses
-Deleted Oil/Air seperator, installed Provent (from 928 Spec)
-Deleted clutch cooling fan, installed 2700 cfm electric fan.
-Deleted A/C, air pump
-New CIS housing gasket, throttle body gasket & boot, new intake boots
-Fuel distributor rebuilt may 2005
-Brand NEW WUR!
-Injectors cleaned and flow tested (good) by Midwest fuel injection
-New injector rubber seals
-New fuel pump, fuel filter
-New hood shocks
-MSDS headers
-New steering rack boots (rack was fine), tie rods, steel ball joints
-1 yr old brake rotors (all)
-Rebuilt & painted calipers (red)
-Replaced brake booster with a used one (works)
-New Master Cylinder
-Stainless Stell brake lines
-Radiator end tank was replaced over the summer, but tranny oil cooler was broken in process (not me) so I added an external tranny cooler in the front.
-Resealed rear quarter windows and changed hatch & window trim to non spoiler, then added fiberglass S4 wing.
-Installed Rebuilt alternator (Bosch)
-Replaced engine wiring harness with my own using correct color wires (metric) and new end plugs from eagleday

I think thats most of the work, if I remember anything else I will add it.
The car is auto, has about 150k on the clock. The odo was broken when I got it, it read about 139,000. I replaced the odo gear and put in a new gauge backing plate (white plastic thing) and new flex circuit. The gauges do not work except for the tach. The all worked fine before and after I replaced the circuit thing, but lately they stopped working. I think it has to do with the ignition switch needing replacing (i have a new one, just havent replaced it). I also have a spare cluster from another lister that I was going to use the oil press gauge/alternator gauge since it has the Euro german language warning lights.
Also, there is coolant dripping onto the headers on the drivers side, the reservoir had a crack in the top near the collar, but I tried to JB Weld it. Either way, I have a new coolant bottle waiting to go in. Also, the car has an H-Pipe with a dual euro exhaust that has been hacked up. I have a brand new Borla Stainless steel exhaust that you can put on.
The car starts and runs, but is out of tune and the mixture needs to be adjusted. When I replaced the booster and master, I think I didnt reinstall the brake pedal correctly, so the brake pedal is real soft and first then gets real hard and the brakes come on fast. I think it needs to be adjusted. Also, last summer someone smashed my pass side window, but I got a used one and replaced the window. The drivers side works, but it gets caught on the wires for the side mirror so I am still messing with that. I have verified that the pass side window motor works. I also went throught the entire fuse panel and cleaned the contacts, replaced all fuses. All relays are good. I also have two 3" universal cats (new) in case you need them for the sniffer. I have classic plates on it now. No sniffer.
The title is in hand, clean.
I have two good keys, one key that shattered but the shaft is still good.
The gas cap is correct and I have a key for it.
The seats are black/blue pasha, but are splitting
The door panels are off, since I am messing with the windows. They were cut by the PO in the area of the speakers. Floor mats are new-ish, and have a nice rear matt for the back. I deleted the rear seats and put in two 10" subs and an amp. The rear hatch also has a small leak somewhere. Not the windows. I think its from the hatch seal, since I think the hatch needs some tinkering with the alignment. The color is gray, but is not good. The body is straight, except for a small dent on the rear pass qtr panel near the bumper cover.

I already remember more stuff...
New Kumho tires 4xP225ZR16
Car also needs an alignment.

I would rather sell it ASAP -make an offer- as I am getting a 924S (I'm crazy, but a better car for a young'n like me)

I can post pics more on demand.

I tell you - the moment these guys become famous in movie films they abandon their old friends... The 924S is just an excuse... Soon we'll see our Borat in something with a lot more "bling"...

I agree. Few years ago I helped a friend cut a hole in the floor of his 924. It was for passing, to pick up enough speed he could use his feet.

924S - Yeah its the poor man 44 but c'mon? Is it because of the insurance?

IMO - You'll totally regeet it soon.

BTW - I owned 2 924S - Both in MINT condition. Les than 50k miles on both of them. I gave up a mint conditon car to get into a not so mint 84S2 ........never looked back my friend.

You have to do what best for you. Either way - I wish you the best of luck

Exhibit A: Top Gear episode. He's gotta pass the tow truck hauling the 928

thanks for the comments guys. insurance is one factor. I am not leaving you guys dont worry. I will be on Rennlist as usual. I know I will have another 928 later on. I wish I could keep both.
I promised myself that as soon as I buy a house with a garage, there will be a 928 in it.

OK, but why a 924S? Why not get a late 944 - they look better, have nicer interiors (i.e. interiors based on the 928's), and have the same basic details like engine and chassis.

The 924S often in decent shape sells for peanuts.

The 24S (stock) is actually faster than a NA 44 (stock). Ask me how I know
