Default Met another new 928er today!

I was in the garage today installing my new windshield squirter (old one cracked)....take sharky for a quick spin to test it (it works perfect)...& notice a red S4 behind me???? Its not the red S4 I know lives in town (different wheels)....I talk to the owner.....turns out he lives in Modesto and his girlfriend lives around the corner from me!!! We end up talking forever....until my wife and his girlfriend cut it short :>) A real nice 87 S4 5 speed red over black with no rub strips or rear A/C......but it does have a sunroof? Only 69K miles now....62K when he bought it a year ago.....black techart wheels......I think the Stockton Sharks Society (SSS) might have its third local member!

Those wheels balance out the black wing very nicely.

Of course...Tracy is closer than Modesto.....so that would make him 4th & you third....& our other "bay area" members too (lots of people come to mind!)..now that I'm thinking about it.....we need to make some more shirts...maybe embroidered polos this time? Gerry?????

He mentioned the black wheels matching the black wing and interior....his car is in very good condition.....the paint is very good (I would say similar to mine...with a good polish-wax) & so is the carpets and seats (memory and lumbar on both seats)...just a couple small cracks in the dash (perfect excuse to send in to Paul) & a small crack on the air dam....nothing really major....he just did a TB service at a good local shop & had the steering rack replaced....he's on top of the maintence.....he might need an A/C recharge....his shop doesn't service R12 anymore.....but I just happen to know someone who does?...I'll have to do a couple tests on it to see what it needs?

Of course I told him about norcal 928 (gave him the card) & rennlist...he said he'll sign up tomorrow!! I'm sure he'll respond to this post! Another fanatic for the shark asylum!

BTW I vote for S/C on the 88!! Thats on my list once I get the $$$$

Hey Brian - I clicked on your 928 Registry link and noticed your car is listed as both an '87 and an '88. You probably already know that, and just don't know how to change it. FWIW.

The 87 & 88's are listed in the same category since they are very similiar...kinda like 90-91's & GTS's...but mine is in the 88 section lower on the page....but it does say 1987 on the top...must be a typo by Chuck? The car was built 10-13-1987 though?

I assume that whole page is your car, top and bottom, just a typo at the top.

I think it's more acurate to say the "old clean engine". You want to send a picture of the new "immaculate engine". It's a sickness. Fortunately you can live with it.

I'm very curious who Modesto found that works on the 928. Hope he shows up here and gives me the 411.

Nice ride Modesto has there. Look forward to meeting him. R-12 canister still has 20 lbs left.

That's a nice S4. I like every color now, and the more I see the more I like.
