Default '85 "Horseshoe" Gas Hose...How to fix?

This used '85 32V "Horseshoe shaped" gas hose from the backside of the engine is a bit stiffer than I'd like to put on my car. Is it possible to have a hydraulic hose company refit these ends with a new hose? Or does someone have a new hose for sale? Part number 928 110 271 00

928 int'l or specialist should both have it. I wouldn't bother to try to have it rebuilt. The hose was ~ $30 (?). I would also replace the other fuel hoses which are 20+ years old. After I replaced my U I bent the old one and it snapped in two.

Isn't that one of those parts that was on the NLA list posted by Mark Anderson in a thread recently?

Any good hose shop should be able to build that for less than $40. Look in the phone book for "hydraulic hoses". I recently had a line built that allows me to install a fuel pressure sender between the passenger side fuel rail and the pressure damper just in front of the water bridge.

Yes, this hose is NLA. I bought new hoses for everything else....and bought this one used...but I don't dare use it.

the whole ful hose/damper design is CRAP. I tossed it and made my own. Much safer.

A while back there was a post that indicated that the newer design from the later models "might" work. Has anyone confirmed if that is the case. I just reaplced all my lines, except this one and while the hose seems OK I really hate trusting a 20 year old fuel line.

Cool. Do you have any pics / details of the project you can share?

The later design has longer and strangely angled hard sections that can make it hard to install. Get the 85 rebuilt.

Y'all live in the wrong country. I just bought one up here, from the dealer. He had to "get it in", from where I don't know, but I got it. It was $115.00 Can, so that's about $4.95 US..... Maybe it was the S4 version....

I went out and had one built for $20.00.
