The pictures are not the greatest representation. The engine broke a camshaft and hence bent the valves but before that the car was bottomed out and broke the block at the a/c pump. It had gobs of silicon trying to hold back the oil but it was a big leaker. The car already had a salvage title for a previous issue and the list of needs is quite long. The painted wing that you inquired about does have lots of cracks in the paint.

Broken camshaft from overtight belt?

Actually most S4 cams seem to break beacuse of an ignition problem like a bad coil wire.
