can be done in the car with the right tools. Right angle drill, lefy handed bit and patience. if it is not leaking...leave it alone !!
+1!! If it's not broke,don't fix it! If you have to when you remove the manifold you could also weld a nut to the existing stump of a stud,if ther is one,and when it cools smack it with a hammer and back it right out.If there is no stump or it is broken off flush,you could weld a smaller stud to it and then back it out.Although the latter is a little trickier it is do-able.All 5 928's that I have had the same problem but only 2 leaked and all of them are missing the bracket that Merlin speaks of.
