My 89 S4. Pretty stock but clean. Jump post cover intact. With the classic BLUE screw on cap!

Nope, stock Porsche mounts. Work great! This was taken during MM/PG replacement which included tranny mounts, new ATF cooler lines and exhaust system ceramic coating. Lots of horizontal time,
and a little of this: Fun fun fun.

Ahhh must been the way I looked at it and the heat shield, nice and clean under there, you need to bring out a mirror when you show it off

Geshwindig, that cradle is a thing of beauty!!! Is that paint or powder coat?

Phil, that engine looks like it means business!!! Glad you got it going. I'd love to be able to look over that bay in more detail. Looks like you did a lot of engineering.

all is powder coated and every nut and bolt fitted by me.
a lot of time to get it looking and running as well as it is now.

as in the first picture, the devil is in the detail.

just hope the 6L one will run ok, will find out in a few weeks
cheers

Yeah, Chris. Same as the top end. After 29 years everything is so dirty and corroded I just took everything I could take off and degrease to the coater.
They blast it, coat it and bake it, and it comes out so nice and is easier to clean and work on. Next is the TT, and rear suspension. Waiting to do some tranny work at the same time, like when I find a money tree!

(Cats got coated a little later. Outside stays much cooler.)

Kevin

Good Lord that is some beautiful powder coating!! I'll be honest with you, I had no idea that exhaust components could be coated. That's impressive. Thanks, now you've given me more ideas for what all to do while my engine is out. The list keeps growing, and not much is getting checked off. LOL.

Phil, thanks for the pics. Looks good. I bet it'll be a monster with the stroker.
