I have my own version of wheeled nirvana: the S4 5 speed, a 2002 Honda RC51, and a 2002 CR500AF for the dirt (just one now).
The RC51 is great, but I find the 928 as much fun, more usable, and more relaxing. Riding on the street you have to have your game face on and can't relax.
3 machines that are now extinct but are memorable and irreplaceable by something newer.

I agree with Louie, on keeping the auto and buying the GT. This would give you something to drive and keep you sane while you worked and saved to restore the GT. And then when the GT is up and running you could then put the supercharger on the S4.
As to that question (s/c on the S4) you would be amazed at what 400+ hp feels like with an auto. Makes the car feel like it weighs 2500lbs. 60-130 in a snap, Bill Ball burnouts at will!! Only thing is that then you would have to put one on the GT because it (boost) is addictive as hell!!
