Default place to measure boost....

During the installation of the supercharger the instructions called for the breather and re-breather hoses that mixed the air between the crankcase valve covers and intake to have check valves put in or to be cut placing little K&N filters on the valve cover side of the cut hose and the throttle body end of the hoses were plugged. This was done so as to not pressurize the crankcase with boost from the supercharger.

My question is could a gauge be connected to one of the plugged hoses to measure the boost? The PO didn't want to drill the intake and tap in a port where the boost could be monitored and I was hoping there is a way to read the pressure without having to remove the intake to do so.

It's a FAST 928 kit.

i think the most accurate measurement is as close to the intake ports as possible.

Any where on the intake or any hose connected to it will do for a boost gauge.

I would not trust a check valve to keep boost out of the crankcase.

It happened to me once on another car (not a 928) and it blew every seal and most of the gaskets out of the engine when it hit 12 PSI.

Thanks guys!
As for the check valve situation I guess I'm safe there because the
PO who installed this kit elected to cut the hoses and use the filters for the valve cover hoses and just plugged the intake side of the cut hose.
I believe this particular supercharger kit is limited to around 5 psi maximum pressure by design so I think I'll go attach the gauge to one of the cut hoses and see what it will show me...
